Girdano - Army Second LieutenantKilled In Action: Aug. 1, 2008 Hometown: Apollo, PA Age: 23 Girdano was assigned to the Special Troops Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. He died Aug. 1 in Chowkay Valley, Afghanistan, from wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.  |
