Soldiers & Sailors Announces Free Admission

Pittsburgh, PA
December 18, 2008

Today at the Soldiers & Sailors press conference unveiling the bow ornament of the USS Pennsylvania at the museum, President Ron Gancas made a special announcement regarding admission into the hall. "During these economic times every citizen is made to be more frugal with their spending money. We want to make sure that they still have a cultural place to visit. Not only will they learn about American history through artifacts and art, they will take with them the stories of Americans who sacrificed, sometimes everything, to protect our country and freedom. During the month of January, February and March, Soldiers & Sailors will be offering free admission to all visitors. We ask in return they consider making a donation towards the Memorial Garden Project. In addition, Soldiers & Sailors will indefinitely offer free admission to all military and veterans and those accompanying them. Families with deployed loved ones will also be granted free admission. While our troops are still serving overseas, some in harms way it is important to show our support in any way we can.
