Veteran Activities at Memorial Celebration

WE NEED YOUR MILITARY PHOTOS!

 Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum will be holding its annual Memorial Day Celebration on Monday, May 31, 2010. The event  will feature Veteran Remembrance activities along with ceremonies, live entertainment and children's activities.

The Veteran Remembrance Activities will include a photo collage of local military and a video area where attendees will be encouraged to record their military story or a message to the troops serving today.

Photo Collage ...We are asking the public to send in pictures of their loved ones, or themselves, in uniform to be added to the collage. These images along with name of military person and era of service can be mailed to the museum, 4141 Fifth Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15213, or sent digitally via email, casey@soldiersandsailorshall.org, or added to Soldiers & Sailors' Facebook page. Images can also be added to the collage during the Memorial Day Celebration. The person in the photo could have served in any branch of the military and during any time period, conflict or peace.

Video Area ...The oral histories and messages of gratitude recorded during the event are being collected for future use in our education department, museum exhibits and Soldiers & Sailors' YouTube Channel.
