Monday, October 9, 2006: (7:30am-3:00pm) Allegheny County-Wide Professional Day-Allegheny County Public School Teachers are Encouraged to Attend on This Date-Register Through the AIU
Tuesday, October 10, 2006: (7:30am-4:00pm) Non-Allegheny Public School Teachers and All Private School Teachers are Encouraged to Attend on This Date- Register Through Soldiers & Sailors
We look forward to Co-Partnering again with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and the Allegheny County Schools for the 2006 School Year. Although we encourage Non-Allegheny teachers and Private School teachers to attend on October 10th, you may attend on October 9th if that date fits your schedule better. Teachers can also attend both days if desired.
OVERVIEW OF ALL THE AMERICAN CONFLICTS***
French and Indian War (1754-1763), American Revolution (1775-1783),
Civil War (1861-1865), World War I (1917-1918), World War II (1941-1945),
Cold War: Korea (1950-1953) & Vietnam (1964-1975),
Middle East Conflicts (1990-2006) and the Homefront
There will be an oral history session for teachers to interact with veterans from World War II, The Korean War, The Vietnam War and Desert Storm
**Breakfast and Lunch will be Provided on Both Days of the Conference
**Act 48 Certificate of Attendance for 6 hours
