Joseph A. Dugan, Jr. Hall of Valor Induction Ceremony-POSTPONED
Mar 29 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

It is with great disappointment, but coupled with a sense of responsibility that Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum has chosen to postpone our annual Joseph A. Dugan, Jr. Hall of Valor Induction Ceremony scheduled for Sunday, March 29, 2020.  Although this decision does not come easy, it is the required course of action in light of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

Our Hall of Valor Induction Ceremony remains Soldiers & Sailors’ premiere program and event, providing the epitome of what our memorial and the mission of our organization are all about.  The ceremony and luncheon provide an opportunity to honor, remember, celebrate and focus on the extraordinary actions of the inductees.  Thus, by allowing the event to take place and asking you to attend, we believe it would create an avoidable concern or fear of contracting this unprecedented and unpredictable virus.  In doing so, the importance of the ceremony would be overshadowed.

Since the future, and how it is affected by this health scare, remains extremely fluid, we continue to adapt and respond to the unexpected challenges it has created.  Thus, we hope to resume our normal operations and host our Hall of Valor event sometime in the Fall of 2020.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and hope you understand the difficult situation we are all facing.  We remain committed to host this prestigious program and intend to carry it out with the level of honor it requires at a later date.

Luncheon reservations will be transferable to the future date. Once a new date is set luncheon tickets may be purchased here.

Postponed-The Greatest Generation: An American Oratorio – Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh
Oct 25 @ 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh presents The Greatest Generation: An American Oratorio, an homage to the American family at war.  This oratorio combines the popular tunes from the World War II era with new original compositions and arrangements.  With a libretto by Dan Kehde and original music and arrangements by Roger Ames with Elizabeth Bassine, the work includes classics from Irving Berlin, the Gershwins, Arthur Miller, Cole Porter, and more!  From deployment to victory, this performance brings the trials of love and war to life in this musical odyssey.
