Special Open-Air Memorial: Remembering 9/11 and Honoring Our Fallen

Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall honors the fallen service members of the War on Terrorism with a display of 7,087 dog tags suspended between the light posts along the walkway leading to the building. Visitors walk underneath this poignant tribute, where each dog tag represents an individual life lost in the conflicts since September 11, 2001. Among these, 301 special flag dog tags specifically commemorate each service member from Pennsylvania. This open-air memorial is free for all visitors, serving as a solemn reminder of 9/11 and an honor to our fallen heroes.
