Established in 1918, the Distinguished Service Cross is the second-highest military decoration awarded by the United States for valor in combat. The medal is awarded to members of the Armed Forces who display extraordinary heroism in combat with an armed enemy force. Join us as we examine the history of the Distinguished Service Cross and highlight individuals inducted into the Joseph A. Dugan, Jr. Hall of Valor who have earned this distinction.
