Whether you're planning a Christian, Hindu, multicultural, interracial, Jewish, same-sex wedding or anything in between, Soldiers & Sailors is the perfect venue for starting the next chapter of your love story! The grand ballroom’s maple hardwood main floor can accommodate between about 100 and 300 seated guests, depending on setup and food service style, and up to 22 at a head table onstage, with ample room for a dance floor. Should your guest count exceed our recommended main floor seating, additional seating can be arranged in our balcony overlooking the ballroom, accessible via staircase. Our professional team works closely with you to create a customized room setup to your exact specifications. With a wonderful variety of in house caterers, all capable of offering a delightful sit down, buffet or station style cuisine, you’re sure to find a meal selection your guests will love within your budget.
The Perfect Wedding
Our versatile venue boasts a simple yet sophisticated color scheme of mostly cream with dark green, red and gold accents. The grand ballroom’s dramatic high ceiling is hand painted with ornate detail. Exquisite craftsmanship of this magnitude is unparalleled in modern architecture. This classic pallet lends itself nicely to a multitude of bold color schemes in both the warm, cool and metallic color families and extravagant décor. For more conservatively styled receptions your ambience is elevated to the next level by the room's character, making this the perfect location, no matter what your vision may be.
In addition to the grand ballroom itself, you and your guests will have the opportunity to enjoy several other spaces within the facility. The third floor foyer outside of the grand ballroom, equipped with two restored oak bars, serves as a cozy cocktail space, allowing your guests to mingle before they are seated. The picturesque grand balcony overlooking the ballroom offers your guests a breathtaking bird’s eye view of the reception, as well as an excellent vantage point for wedding photographers. The Board Room, also included, serves as the perfect wedding party suite for private refreshments and freshening up before your grand introduction.
If you'd like to incorporate an outdoor element for cocktail hour or even your wedding ceremony, our front patio is available to rent in addition to the grand ballroom.
For an additional fee, some couples elect to host their cocktail hour amidst the building's first floor lobby and surrounding wings of the museum. This allows guests the opportunity to view a unique look into American history by telling the stories of the individuals that served our country through military equipment, artifacts and personal mementos. This option is especially encouraged for larger weddings.
If an onsite wedding ceremony is something you envision, we are happy to oblige! Ceremonies may be arranged in the grand ballroom, auditorium or on our front patio.
Military discounts are available as well as non-Saturday discounts with the exception of holiday weekends.
